By Mariana Mora. This essay is a reflection on a decade of struggle by the Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN) in the state of Chiapas, Mexico. By providing snapshots of important political gatherings that have taken place nationally, as well as by providing ethnographic accounts of political practices in the EZLN autonomous municipalities, the author highlights what she considers to be key political interventions of the Zapatista movement.
